Mission Statement

We, as a sacred circle of loving and powerful women, deeply respect the individual differences of each of us.
Each woman is free to hold and express her own views and life journey.
We delight in the creativity, growth and joy of one another.
We know and share tears, and hold one another through our confusions and pain.
We honor and encourage the Spirit in one another to expand and ignite.
We are dedicated to the continual exploration of the feminine, thus affirming the feminine in one another.
We create safe space for women to explore our growing and the possibilities for change.
We value and encourage risk-taking and freedom in ritual experiences.
We will allow no boundaries to be placed upon us that hinder or limit our individual self-expression.
Going forward as a faith community, we have the following needs:

To respect individual differences

To allow for one another's silent moments

To increase our diversity

To share leadership and responsibility as an egalitarian community

To invest in our continuous formation and spiritual growth

To be open to further exploration of who we are and what we want to be identified as, in various social and political terms

We are a community whose roots are intertwined, growing in many directions.
We are searching for the Transcendent in ourselves and in the universe.
We celebrate the beauty in others and in our daily environment. The Spirit is generous and blesses us as we ask.
We are Goddess -- we bless one another as we meet -- we share the smile of love -- and we are filled. So we name ourselves Chicago Women-Church.
